As passed by City Council at the July 11, 2022, meeting, the City of Jasper is pleased to announce Waste Pro of GA will be performing residential sanitation service on behalf of the City starting on Monday, August 1, 2022. Customer billing and service-related issues will still be handled through the City's Utility Billing office and residential customers will see no increase in price. A 95-gallon rolling cart will be delivered by Waste Pro to all existing City of Jasper residential customers the week of July 18th, and a schedule for the new day of service will be included with the cart.

Sonia Jammes, City Manager, says that “We believe our residential customers will see an improved efficiency in their sanitation service through this partnership with Waste Pro of GA. Our most valuable asset here at the City, our workforce, is stretched thin and this partnership will allow the City to focus on other areas that our Public Works Department is responsible for.”
